I would like to invite young people (18-30) to join the Diocese of Bathurst pilgrimage to World Youth Day in South Korea next year.
We’re all on a pilgrimage, whether we’re aware of it or not, to our only future: the Kingdom of God. And we can, if we will, do it consciously, walking with Christ and one another, discovering new horizons of life and faith.
This is why journeying together, to a particular place, to a particular meeting, is a chance to live our deepest reality with eyes wide open and the friendship of companions.
Next year, a group from our local church will travel together to meet other young people from all over the world and be with Pope Leo for World Youth Day in Seoul. We will go with the support and prayers of our local church and represent Bathurst and Australia in this gathering of the Universal Church.
It will sometimes be challenging, sometimes enjoyable, but always new.
